We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to create a safe environment for you to visit and we’ve made some changes to how we do things.

Everyone will have a part to play in keeping our gyms and members safe, and we’ll be asking you follow a few rules too.

What we are doing to keep you safe

Keeping you safe and healthy is our number one priority. That’s why we’re introduced new cleaning procedures and social distancing measures though-out our club.

Limited Capacity. No need to book to come to the gym as the club’s capacity is 100 per anyone time. Pervious data has shown us that we have never been close to this amount of members in the club at anyone time. Initially, we shall not operate a booking system for access to the gym, members are advised to come at their convenience. However, we shall evaluate the situation and if need be implement a booking system via the club app.

Membership bands and entry. To help us manage numbers in the club plus track and trace should there be an outbreak, membership bands must be used to enter the club, unfortunately we can no longer lend them out for lockers and we are unable to check members in manually. Therefore, please look for the band given to you when you joined. Don’t worry, if you are unable to locate your band when you come in, you will be able to purchase a new one.

Temperature checks and cleanliness. We’ll be checking everyone’s temperature on arrival and if anyone has a high temperature, they won’t be able to enter the club. Members will be encouraged to sanitise their hands at reception and additional hand sanitiser units have been positioned at key areas across the club.

Cleaning and disinfecting. We’ll be sanitising gym equipment throughout the day and cleaning the entire club every night. However it is down to the individual customer to take reasonable personal responsibility, when taking part in physical activity. This means we expect all members to “DO THEIR BIT” wipe and clean all equipment before and after use. This includes equipment touch points, like handles, weights, plates, seats and benches.

Social distancing. You’ll see new social distancing signs around the gym, including one-way systems where possible. We’re also limiting the number of members in each area, such as the gym floor, studios and changing rooms.

Changes to classes.

We have created individual workout zones in the Main Studio to fit in line with the government and UK active advice on the social distancing.

Spin will be moved into the main studio in our first stage of reopening as numbers would have been extremely limited with the current social distancing guidelines.

We will have a 20 minute gap between classes,  in line with the general advice from the Government and UK Active, to allow time for cleaning.

We will continue to run a class booking system as per our club app, anyone who would like to attend classes without the app should contact us at info@dallingtonfitness.co.uk so we can create you a login account.

Limited services and facilities. Our sauna and steam rooms will stay closed, and our cafe is currently closed due to having a refurb.

Protecting you and our teams. We’ve installed plastic shields at our reception desks and we’ll be providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to our staff if necessary.

Ventilation. We are in the unique position to be able to utilise the time the club was closed through lockdown and one of the many jobs we were able to do was to fully service and clean our entire air conditioning system. The recommendation from our ventilation company was that our system is one of the safest out there.
